A-Frame in the Pines

Welcome to our cozy a-frame cottage located just North of Gimli. This brand new cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway or a family adventure and being only a short walk to the lake, or a 10 minute drive to Gimli, there's no shortage of places to explore. Or if you're more interested in staying in, this cottage features a wood stove, hot tub, cozy nooks, beautiful views, and all the modern amenities. Licence No. GSTR-2024-014 There is parking for two vehicles comfortably but three would fit if needed. The entrance to the cottage is accessible to all with both stairs and a wheelchair/walker/stroller friendly ramp. More than anything, we want the cottage to feel like your own for the duration of your stay, so a smart lock secures the property and you'll enter with your own code during flexible check-in hours. We really want our guests to feel at home at the cottage which is why we built it exclusively for vacation rentals. You won't find any stranger's family photos here, but you will find some home-y touches like games, a few toys, books in a variety of genres, some colouring books and puzzles. The main floor of the cottage features a well equipped kitchen, dining and living room under the open A-frame ceiling. The living room features a wood stove, a cozy reading nook, a couch and two chairs. The 42" TV is equipped with a Chrome Cast and an Apple TV so anything you can watch on your smart phone, or device, you can cast to the TV. Two, beautifully designed, main floor bedrooms look out into the scenic back yard. One of the main floor bedrooms has a little extra floor space to accommodate a wheelchair or to set up a play pen for a baby or young child. A spacious, full bathroom finishes out the main floor with a tile shower/bath and a refinished, antique cast iron sink. Upstairs, you'll find a small flex space overlooking the main floor living areas. The beautiful, spacious loft bedroom features the tall A-frame vault and includes a powder room ensuite. This coveted room also has a spectacular view of the backyard forest and we've spotted many deer wandering through the pines from the large upstairs windows. One of our favorite parts of the cottage is the property that it sits on. We tried to disturb as few trees as possible so that you still really feel like you're in the forest. The feeling of being in nature while you're enjoying the back deck, the hot tub or the fire pit is what we are most excited for when staying here. We've extended our inclusive features to the backyard with a ramp down from the back deck and a packed granite walkway, lined with string lights, to the fire pit a few steps into the forest. Guests will have the entire property and cottage to themselves. We won't be available in person but we will have a local property manager on call in case of any urgent needs. We'll be available by text or phone call if you need help with anything. Quiet, lakeside development. The cottage has an electronic lock, and a unique code is sent to you when you book. There is parking for two vehicles. A 5-minute walk gets you to the lake where there is a rocky beach, a play structure and a green space. Gimli is a ten minute drive away. It is a small beach town with great restaurants, shops, a beach and marina. The A-Frame is a brand new build!! We built it with your holidays in mind so it will feel like you're staying in your own cottage instead of someone else’s. Firewood is provided for the fire pit and wood stove. You will need to chop your own kindling so some knowledge of how to start a fire is required. We have some extra instructions for the wood stove in the welcome manual at the cottage. There is a hatchet, newspaper and lighter provided.
